TAMPA — Here’s a sampling of the reaction to the Lighting’s 3-1 victory Sunday over Boston, sending Tampa Bay to the Eastern Conference final:
I was wrong. Lightning the better team. No doubt

He may be talking about this
The Lightning becomes the first team to advance to the conference finals this season with a 3-1 win over the Bruins. Here’s how it happened. #TBLightning #GoBolts @TB_Times #TBLvsBOS #Bruins @TBLightning https://t.co/8t59HMaE06 pic.twitter.com/SxQ8H0f7f7

For most of 25 years, the Lightning have been on the wrong side of everything when it came to the Boston Bruins. That’s what makes this night so much sweeter.

The Lightning win 4 straight after getting blown out in Game 1. Amazing response. They dominated this series, exposed holes in the Bruins that didn’t previously show at any other point this season. This was surgical.

Tampa Hockeytown: the team, the experience, the revenues, and when compared to the Florida baseball franchises one think Jeff Vinik is one of the great owners in sports

Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Lightning, heading to the Conference Final for the second time in 3 years. The better team won.Deeper scoring, healthier and deeper D corps, better goaltending. When it all calms down, Bs fans will realize the great run Boston had in 2018.

The @TBLightning are the eighth team in the last 20 years (since 1998) to clinch a berth in the Conference Finals 3+ times in a four-year span. #NHLStats #BOSvsTBL #StanleyCup pic.twitter.com/FWdJ62GqZg

The officiating has been dreadful all postseason. The Bruins got shafted on a few notable plays. The Lightning were the superior team, outplayed them throughout, and deservedly won that series regardless. All of those things can be true at the same time.

#TVA Sportscaster and former #NHL coach Michel Bergeron very upset and not holding back, insisting at least 2 officials in this series need to be severely reprimanded to preserve the integrity of NHL Hockey. States that officials determined the entire series. #Bruins

The amount of social media produced by fans at Amalie Arena dwarfs the amount of social media produced by fans at Tropicana Field or Raymond James Stadium. And it isn’t because of the building… it’s because the Lightning have built a “cool“ product.
